Interested in subbing at Chicago Public Schools until securing a full-time teaching job?

This link guides a Scholar on how to apply to be in the sub system. Once registered, schools can reach out to you for subbing opportunities. Scholars can wait to be called OR they can also contact schools they would like to work in. Similar to a teaching job, Scholars should talk to the school’s Office Clerk/Manager for more details. 

NOTE:

Substitute Teacher candidates must have a current and valid Illinois State Board of Education Substitute Teacher License to teach or substitute teach in order to apply. Candidates who hold only a paraprofessional license, school counselor, and/or career and technical educator endorsement are required to obtain a substitute teaching license. Special Education Classroom Assistant and Substitute Teacher Assistant candidates must have a current and valid Illinois State Board of Education Paraprofessional License in order to apply.
