You're invited to participate in a focus group with Teach Plus Illinois, IDHS, & CELFE, regarding their new Workforce Compensation Contracts.
Before the focus group,
See if you qualify: In order to participate you must be an early childhood teacher, teacher assistant, or classroom staff member of a non-district school such as a center, home-based, or community based child care organization. You cannot be a provider, director, or administrator.
Learn about the Workforce Compensation Contracts which are meant to help organizations/centers pay higher wages to their teachers.
Give feedback on the proposed salary scales which has suggested salaries/hourly wages for teacher assistants/teachers based on licensure, degrees, and/or gateways credentials.
Suggest ways to ensure that the moneymakes it to the pockets of teachers/classroom staff.
After the focus group,
There's a book raffle per focus group and a $20 gift card raffle for all participants.
