Who is eligible?Classroom teachers currently teaching in grades Pre-K-3 full-time at a public or non-public school in Illinois.The minimum teaching requirement requires that a candidate must be actively teaching in a full-time teaching position today and must have completed no fewer than four years of teaching prior to this school year.Candidates must be able to demonstrate – in their teaching and results – significant, positive impact on their students' growth and learning.What do award recipients receive?Induction into the esteemed Golden Apple Academy of EducatorsA paid spring quarter sabbatical at Northwestern University in Evanston (recipients may take as many courses as they wish in any subjects they choose)A $5,000 cash award
