This training is free to attend. Registration will close on April 4, or once full capacity has been reached – which may be before April 4, 2024. This training is perfect for those at any level in the process of implementation who are looking for ideas on how to build a PaCE culture, collect and use data, and work PaCE into their school day. This training will include time to connect with ISAC and work with your team. Work-based learning programs and internships have emerged as effective strategies to bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world work environments. At the same time, schools are juggling many priorities, and it can be challenging to engage external partners effectively to offer these services. On March 19, 2024, Genesys Works, Junior Achievement, and their school partners shared their work to provide career exploration experiences, internships, and virtual opportunities to engage with industry mentors. Watch the recording.Hiring for ISACorpsThe Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is seeking applicants for the position of ISACorps Community Outreach Worker.  ISACorps near-peer mentors work with students and their families throughout the state as they navigate the college-going process. A concerted effort is made to reach out to first-generation college students and/or those who are low-income. ISAC hires in every region of Illinois so that the individuals being served work with someone from their area who has college experience. This is a full-time salaried opportunity in public service to the state with extensive training and career development support and tuition waivers for state universities to continue higher education.
